We are currently seeking an Area Manager of Rides to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all park attractions at Carowinds. In addition to oversight of attractions, this role will assist with hiring, leading, and managing talent day to day as assigned in tandem with another Rides Area Manager. You'll work with other divisional managers to complete tasks and projects and assist in other divisional departments. This position will report to the Rides Manager. High levels of self-motivation, leadership and development, initiative, multi-tasking and time management are essential.
Supervises and coordinates the departments activities in maintaining and repairing mechanical parts of pumps, cranes, compressors, automobiles, trucks, tractors, and similar equipment used in construction and maintenance. Inspects defective equipment in shop or field to determine extent of wear or damage to direct repairs. Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in production machining and repair of metallic or nonmetallic workpieces, applying knowledge of machine shop procedures, machine tool setup, welding, operating techniques, and production machining methods.
Safely maintain, repair and rehab equipment in multiple areas within the Maintenance Division; Plumbing, HVAC/R, Kitchen Equipment Repair, Carpentry, Painting, Aquatic Systems & Water Quality.
Performs and supervises crew members in the inspection, mechanical maintenance and repair of Park rides. Supervises inspections, maintenance, and repairs with all ride attractions and equipment. Responsible for maintenance records and ensuring documents are accurate and complete.
