This is a year- round leadership position within the Food & Beverage division at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The position offers a competitive hourly pay starting at $21.50/hr., along with a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities

From maintaining food quality and safety to supervising a diverse team of employees, you’ll be a key player in keeping our kitchens running smoothly and efficiently. This is a unique opportunity to lead back-of-house culinary operations across multiple quick-service food locations at one of Texas’ premier entertainment destinations.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Team Leadership & Training

  • Hire, train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to ensure strong teamwork and professional growth.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job coaching and feedback.
  • Develop and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure all team members understand and follow standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.

Operational Management

  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain kitchen efficiency during peak times by managing workflow and staff rotations.
  • Ensure accurate portion control and adherence to all recipe guidelines.
  • Manage kitchen opening and closing procedures, including cleaning, restocking, and equipment checks.

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Enforce all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with health codes.
  • Conduct regular food safety and equipment inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure proper food storage, temperature control, and allergen awareness.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Track inventory and place timely food and supply orders to prevent shortages.
  • Monitor and minimize food waste through effective prep and portion control.
  • Assist with menu planning, product rotation, and seasonal item adjustments.
  • Work with warehouse and procurement teams to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.

Guest Experience Support

  • Collaborate with front-of-house supervisors to ensure timely food service and guest satisfaction.
  • Respond quickly to food quality concerns or complaints and resolve them professionally.
  • Lead by example in maintaining a guest-first mindset throughout all kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of kitchen leadership experience (multi-unit preferred)
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to to work a minimum of 30+ hours on a weekly basis.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and extended operating hours
